Well, I believe this as much as I believe my daughter’s Magic 8 ball, but it’s nifty anyway.
I tested it. I copy pasted the same two paragraphs today as I did when I played a few weeks ago and lo and behold, I got the same result. Then I played using two paragraphs of another piece and it claimed I write like Cory Doctorow. The former was humor and the latter piece was not. I wonder if I should try again with another humor piece. If I do, I’ll reveal in the comments. Oh, and confession time: I never read either of these two authors.
Play if you like. Click on the Analyze Your Writing on the widget and come back and tell me whom you write like. And if you even know who that author is. The widget won’t stay forever, just long enough for us to have our fun.
