My name is Tricia Sutton. I live and write in Fresno CA, married and have two daughters born ten years apart. I have a manuscript on its 90th re-write–that’s normal, right? Someday, hopefully soon, I will be querying agents. And hopefully not, but realistically will be, fielding rejection letters.
PSYCH WARD, a spotlight of my achievements, is a family saga about Oklahoma transplants surviving “the Hood” and other seedy areas of L.A. in the ’60s and ’70s. Later they evolve into more of a Beverly Hillbillies-type profile when they move to a wealthy community and shock the townsfolk with their Okie lifestyle.
A good read for those who’ve been singled out, or whose cure for a bad mood is reading about those who are.
Excerpts of the above and other short stories have been published by various online and print magazines. See my publication page for links to my writing https://dfmil09.wordpress.com/publications/

90th sounds about right–will we be finished when we get to the 100th?
Yes, indeed. Or 101, at which point we can write an editing 101 book–sounds better than 100, nobody does that.
[…] tricia wrote about this problem a few days ago, and today, more than ever, i realize i need to focus and make a schedule for myself. her post is fabulous and mirrors my days perfectly!! so please read it. i’ll be your best friend if you do […]
Hi, saw you over at Donald’s.
Nice avatar! 🙂
Azahar,
Thank you for visiting. By Donald you must mean crabbyoldfart. I love that man. I wish I had him to help me raise my wild and crazy teenager. Especially since I had no experience in such matters since I was so perfectly well-behaved and never a trouble to my mother. (Mother, you are not allowed to comment on this, so resist. Resist, I say.)
You have a nice avatar, too.
Thanks for stopping by my blog! Lovin’ your web page layout! Can’t wait to read through and check out your links. 🙂
Welcome, Tiffany, to my writing world
